History of UN Mission particularly to the Deployment of the Contingents Task and responsibilities of a contingent Formulation of a contingent Organizing the contingent Challenges of organizing the contingent – Responsibilities vis-à-vis the organogram – Getting into the organogram to facilitate team training – Officering or command and control Training the contingent for new responsibilities Challenges of training: – Understand the legal basis of a mission – Preparing the mind set of a peacekeeper – Physical training to adopt to new forms of tasks – Getting the trainer trained by BIPSOT – Training the battalion in the form of team and to achieve team effectiveness with the authorized equipment
