What is a Problem? A problem exists when there is a discrepancy between an initial state and a goal state, and there is no ready-made solution for the problem solver.

Primarily a way of thinking, analyzing a situation, or using certain reasoning skills not learnt through the memorization of specific facts; but by immersing one self in the problem-solving process and applying both past experience & knowledge to solve the problem at hand.
