JUST A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE STAB VS WING TILT JUST A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE LOOKING FORWARD LOOKING FORWARD - STAB TILT INDUCES MODEL TO RIGHT TURN LOOKING FORWARD – MODEL TENDS TO SETTLE ONTO WING AND VERTICAL CG COMPONENT CREATES A COUPLE TO BRING THE FUSELAGE UNDER THE WING CG. WING TILT DOES CREATE THE EFFECT OF STAB TILT WITHOUT AFFECTING THE INCIDENCE THOUGH. NOTE: This works on light models a lot better. For heavier models, since most forces tend to act around the CG or aero CG, the tail boom moment has greater effect. COMPONENT OF LIFT STAB LIFT VECTOR PERP TO STAB MOMENT ARM

TE CONTACT POINT LEADING EDGE SHIMMING STAB TILT AS SHOWN CAUSES LE TO “LIFT” CAUSING INCIDENCE CHANGE IF STAB PLATFORM IS TIPPED, THE STAB INCIDENCE IS NOT EFFECTED 3 POINTS DEFINE A PLANE AND MANAGING THAT PLANE IS AN EFFECTIVE WAY TO KEEP TRIM ADJUSTMENTS ON STAB TILT SHIM
