REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3571 AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE CUTTING, DESTROYING OR INJURING OF PLANTED AND GROWING TREES, FLOWERING PLANTS AND SHRUBS OR PLANTS OF SCENIC VALUE ALONG PUBLIC ROADS, IN PLAZAS, PARKS, SCHOOL PREMISES OR IN ANY OTHER PUBLIC GROUND

The Policy (Section 1) To cherish, protect and conserve planted or growing trees, flowering plants and shrubs or plants of ornamental value along public roads, in plazas, parks, school premises or in any public ground.

Objective To promote and conserve the beauty of objects of scenic and ornamental value along public places; To help preserve cool, fresh and healthful climate

Subject to Law Planted or growing trees Flowering plants and shrubs Plants of ornamental value

Location Public roads Plazas Parks School premises Or in any public ground

What is prohibited (Section3) Cutting, destroying, or injuring of the subject of the law in the above-mentioned locations

Exception (Three Requisites Must Concur) Only when it is necessary to enhance its beauty Etc

Powers of the Director of Parks and Wildlife (Section 2) MANDATORY To create a committee in each and every municipality in the country Etc
