* Article II is the result of two polarizing fears of Americans during 18 th century… 1.) an executive that was too weak to deal with the country’s problems 2.) an executive that was powerful enough to tyrannize the newly established nation (Alexander Hamilton and James Madison addressed these concerns in the Federalist Papers)
