Parent Meeting Title I Selection of Students Multi-criteria Checklist Communication L.A.T. Classroom Procedures Rewards Ways to Help Your Child

Title I Title I is a federally funded program. It provides instructional support for students showing need. Classes are thirty minutes of small group instruction. The program presently serves K-2. –Kindergarten is served within classroom setting. –First and second grade classes are pull out groups held in Title I room.

Communication

L.A.T. A child who continues to have difficulty performing in the classroom may be referred to the Learning Assistance Team. Members of the team can include: parents, classroom teacher, other grade level teachers,Title I teacher, speech teacher, school psychologist, and the principal. The Learning Assistance Team works together to determine goals and interventions for the student.

Title I Classroom Procedures Discipline Plan : 1 st step: Student is given a warning. 2 nd step: Student moves name to stop sign. 3 rd step: Student is reported to teacher. (yellow slip) Books are sent home to read weekly. First Grade Take-home folders can be returned daily for a sticker. Second Grade Take-home folders return weekly before Wednesday.

$$$$Rewards$$$$ 5 stickers or squares = 1 TICKET The student colors a square at the end of each “good” day. A student earns a sticker when a gold slip certificate for home reading is returned the following week. A student earns a sticker when s/he returns the Take-Home Folders with books read listed on log. Green slips are sent home for a week with no stop signs and the reading slip returned.

Meet Mrs. Lawson I grew up in Bellevue, Kentucky. In 1989, I received a B.A. at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. I am married to Scott, a Bethel graduate. I have three children. In 1999, I received a M.A. at The University of Dayton.
