Find the measure of each angle. Justify your answer. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

If the measure of angle 6 is 100°, find the measure of angle 1. 100°; corresponding angles are congruent 110°; same-side interior angles are supplementary 110°; alternate interior angles are congruent 35°; alternate exterior angles are congruent

5. If the measure of angle 3 is 2x+5, and the measure of angle 6 is x-5, what is the measure of angle 3? 6. If the measure of angle 1 is 3x-24 and the measure of angle 8 is x+12, what is the measure of angle 1? 5. Angle 3 and angle 6 are same-side interior angles, which means they are supplementary. So 2x+5+x-5 =180 3x=180 X=60 So measure of angle three is 2(60)+5=125°. 6. Angle 1 and 8 are alternate exterior angles, therefore are congruent. 3x-24=x+12 2x-24=12 2x=36 X=18 So the measure of angle 1 = 3(18)-24 = 30
