The small shop is on a busy high street and you also have created a website for on-line ordering and delivery. In order to ensure the shop is profitably run, you have decided to recruit three part-time staff members to help you achieve this

Sweet Heaven Shop assistant Key responsibilities of the shop assistant will be: Selling to customers – helping them choose what they want Serving customers – greeting them politely and making them feel welcome Operating the till – taking the customer’s money and giving accurate change Receiving stock – ensuring any goods delivered to the shop are of the right quantity and quality Displaying the products – putting out the stock and presenting it neatly to the customer to the manager’s satisfaction

Sweet Heaven Administrative assistant Key responsibilities of the administrative assistant will be: Processing website orders – packaging and posting products required to customers On-line communication with customers – writing short descriptions of products and clarifying what customers before delivery Overseeing shop accounts – keeping records of all financial transactions including sales and expenditure Ordering stock for the shop – communicating on-line or over the telephone with suppliers Shop safety and security – ensuring we stick to regulations

Sweet Heaven Assistant manager Key responsibilities of the assistant manager will be: An excellent service to your customers – ensuring they are served quickly with what they want Staff members performing well – everyone knows their jobs, knows how to do them and enjoys their work Ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right price – and are well presented and clearly marked Promoting the business – making people aware of the business locally and also nationally Ensuring the shop premises are attractive and safe
