* Adj.- lacking interest, care, or enthusiasm; indifferent or apathetic; automatic, unthinking I feel very angry after I hear the perfunctory opinions that are blurted out throughout the day because no one takes anybody else’s feelings into consideration.

* Adj.- taking or showing extreme care about minute details; precise; thorough * 2. finicky; fussy * While writing an essay, it is important to be very meticulous as we find grammar errors, including comma splices.

* V- to express grief for or about; mourn After the tragedy that occurred on September 11 th, a great deal of lamenting overwhelmed the entire country as citizens felt empathetic for families who lost loved ones.
