Netiquette- computer laws or rules on how you behave on the internet Definition Netiquette- computer laws or rules on how you behave on the internet

Definition Online Safety- the way you act on the computer by listening or not to the rules of netiquette.

RULES DO NOT WRITE IN ALL CAPS because the person on the other side of the computer may take it like you are yelling. Think about what you say before you type it because you cant take back what you have already said. Do not email anything that you wouldn’t say to someone’s face Don’t take pictures and upload them to anyone that you do not know Don’t talk about someone else because you wouldn’t want them talking about you Don’t talk to anyone online that you do not know or trust

RULES Do not give information about where you live, addresses, town, city, etc. Tell someone about something you see that may be inappropriate. Never send a picture to anyone especially if it is a bad one. Do not respond to bad messages. Do not hurt people if they hurt you. Two wrongs do not make a right. Use the computer as an advantage not a disadvantage.

Why??? Netiquette and Online Safety are bad because you are putting yourself in danger if you interact with people that you do not know. By putting pictures of yourself or others on the internet confronts strangers about other strangers that become you. Never say or do anything that you don’t know is the right thing. Never feel pressured to do things you don’t want to do.

CLOSING I hope you learned a little bit about Netiquette and Online Safety. THE END

THANK YOU TO MRS. PARKER FOR BEING THE BEST COMPUTER TEACHER EVER!!!
