Accurately describe how cells get nutrients and oxygen.

First you eat the food. Then you swallow the food down your throat or inhale down to your lungs. The lung transfers the oxygen to the red blood cells in the blood stream. The cell picks up the oxygen from the red blood cells.

Accurately describe how cells get rid of carbon dioxide.

The cell needs to release Carbon Dioxide so it can take in Oxygen. The cell turns sugar and fat into energy using oxygen. In this process it also produces Carbon Dioxide. It now has to release the Carbon Dioxide so it has room for the oxygen and so it won’t rupture.
