2. Choosing your AIMSweb® Measures
Section 2: Choosing your AIMSweb® Measures
3. Identifying your AIMSweb® Testing Windows and Timelines
Identifying your AIMSweb® Testing Windows and Timelines Global Testing Windows Recommended guidelines* Fall: Sep 1 – Oct 15 Winter: Jan 1 – Feb 1 Spring: May 1 – June 1 –Spirit of guidelines Choosing Two-Week Testing Windows –Increases validity of comparison data –Snapshot of student performance taken at approximately the same time –Reduces likelihood that some students’ performances will “look better” than others due to extra exposure to instruction before testing
Identifying your AIMSweb® Testing Windows and Timelines Strategic Monitor (SM) Timelines –No single recommended time frame –Monthly optional assessment –Consider deadlines for data collection (to ensure consistency and comparability) Progress Monitor (PM) Timelines –When will staff be expected to begin collecting PM data? –What is the accepted minimum frequency of data collection for your organization for each group? Tier 1? Tier 2? Tier 3? Tier 4? Other?

4. School-by-School Implementation Planning
This section will assist with detailing: Number of probes to copy or purchase Determine who will conduct testing Define staff who will enter scores into AIMSweb® Determine User-Types for staff Identifying, by site, BM, SM, and PM use
4. School-by-School Implementation Planning
Implementation Spreadsheet use is optional. If using: Use one template per school (copy worksheets as needed) Allows for possible documentation of: School Name Benchmark testing coordinators RTI Caseload managers
4. School-by-School Implementation Planning Itemize probe counts needed by school Improves ability to estimate probes needed for year for duplication Improves ability to determine quantity of pre-printed consumables needed (optional product).
4. School-by-School Implementation Planning For more information/ordering: AIMSweb® Printed Materials Contain*: Administration & Scoring Manual Stimulus Book (Student Copies of probes) 25 sets of Examiner record books for Benchmarking (Fall, Winter, Spring) 10 sets of Progress Monitor record books Currently available for grades K-8: R-CBM, Early Literacy * Kit contents vary depending upon on kit type, measure, grade-level and price. See order form for details.
School-by-School Implementation Planning
4. School-by-School Implementation Planning Define all teachers & staff responsible for your RTI program per school Assign roles and duties for testing and/or entering data for Benchmark, Strategic Monitor, or Progress Monitoring
4. School-by-School Implementation Planning Organize your decisions regarding AIMSweb® User Types/Account Types Document decisions regarding additional User Types each individual may need
4. School-by-School Implementation Planning Organize your plans for conducting testing per benchmark window Enables one to easily visualize when students will be tested, where testing will occur, and allows summarization so that testing rooms may subsequently be reserved in advance (as needed)
5. Understanding AIMSweb® User Types
Initial Subscription: –“AIMSweb® Manager” –Initial login ed to one delegate in the district (person pre-determined by sales department and customer) –“Master Key” to AIMSweb® Account –AIMSweb® Manager designs (with or without other managers’ assistance) how the entire license will look and function for the organization

5a. Selecting your AIMSweb® Managers Guidelines are estimated based on reports from several current customers as to what works well, given the size of the various organizations reporting. Often, organizations assign one school manager per school.
6. Demographics-Based Reporting & Data Import Service
1.It will add any new districts and/or schools that are in the file. 2.It will add any new teachers. 3.It will add any new students. 4.It will transfer students from one school to another within the license (account) ONLY if the Unique Identifier in the AIMSweb system matches the Unique Identifier in the import file. What the import will do?
5.It will change the grade of each existing student in the AIMSweb system to reflect what is shown in the import file. (In other words, it will “graduate” students in the import file). 6.It will change existing student demographic data in the AIMSweb system to reflect what is in the import file (NOTE: This will change demographic data for the student only and current score included in the import file, not for past scores, past score demographics can be change through the AIMSweb system). 7.It will create classes for the teachers listed in the import file. 8.It will add the students to the classes as shown in the import file.
What will the import will not do 1.It will not remove any students who are no longer in the school. 2.It will not graduate any students who do not appear in the import file. 3.It will not create any user accounts for teachers or managers.
Enhanced Demographics Expand your data mining and analysis Increase accuracy and clarity about student categorization changes over time Improve reliability and validity of data reporting
Data Import Template 1.Export your Student Information System (SIS) data 2.Send to AIMSweb® (Password Protected) business day average turnaround* 4.Complementary Service. 5.Ensures your student lists, class rosters, and demographics are current and accurate. *Turnaround times may be slightly longer during peak request periods.
