Membership Duties of a District Deputy Promote: Empower: Keep Positive: Rally local Knights to spread the word and recruit Ask councils for progress reports every month (or more) Communicate

WHY? Membership is going down Getting harder to promote to officers Getting harder to find District Deputies Difficult to run ALL programs needed in local councils No energy in councils not recruiting Dwindling numbers

Empower Provide Information –Church drive How to run one How often –Recruitment materials Current materials from Supreme Make their own

EMPOWER From Prospect to Member –What is a prospect –What is a candidate –What is a Admission Committee –How often should they have a first degree –How is the first degree team

Empower First Degrees –How often –Scheduled When was it scheduled Did notify anyone –Reporting Both 450 and 450C –Thank the team –Promote the 2 nd, 3 rd, and 4 th degree When was the last time in your district

Keep Positive Other councils are successful If we try we will succeed SMILE There is help out there –State Officers –General and Field Agents –Membership Coordinators

Rally local Knights Keep them informed –District –Diocese –State Keep positive on activities –Nothing works perfect –Do not give up after one try –Try it a different way

Council Reporting Encourage reporting early Hold councils accountable for late items Pester until you get the form Make sure they know of the form before it is due ASSUME is not as good as KNOW

Communicate Lack of communication will cause confusion Use method they respond to –Phone – –Text message –Face to face –Mail
