Leads 5 blacks & 13 whites to armory in Harper’s Ferry, VA. Wagon full of guns to start a slave revolt Takes 9 hostages Federal Troops (Robert E. Lee) stormed Raid on Harper’s Ferry october ‘59

THE OUTCOME : No slaves revolted! 9 Died: –1 frmr slave, His 2 sons, and 9 more! Brown tried for TREASON Hanged in VA square
