A Member of the ITW Confidential One frame is divided into 3 sub-frames. Each sub-frame is corresponding with a RGB color from a pulse-width modulated RGB backlight. LCD segment is ON or OFF at each sub-frame. Each sub-frame will be “merged” and seen with different colors. Synchronization between LCD ON-OFF (response time) and RGB backlight driving is critical to get good colors.
