GM Foods By: Maira Hafiz & 7BB

What is GM Foods? By: Maira Hafiz GM foods are basically food that have been genetically modified. For example, fish protein inserted to a fruit. The genes of something have been inserted to another kind of organism. GM Food : Genetic Modified Food Genetic Engineering can also be done to make animals breed faster by inserting a gene that helps animal breed faster to animal’s foods.

Benefits to Genetically Modified Foods: Crops – Make the taste and quality better – Reduce the time of growing – Increase nutrients and yields – Blocks disease, pests, and herbicides – Produces new product and techniques Animals – Increase the time they grow – Better profit of meat, eggs, and milk – Improve animal healt Environment – Conservation of soil, water, and energy – It helps manage natural waste better – More efficient processing Society – Increase food for growing populations By: Maira Hafiz

Disadvantages to Genetically Modified Foods: By: Maira Hafiz
