Talk, Listen, Communicate Veronica Beckett, Education Support Officer (0-8) Nikki King, Speech & Language Therapist

What is it? In-house designed training and accreditation package for nursery staff. What does it do? Develop staffs awareness, knowledge and skills in speech and language and communication.

Why ? Increase in number of children presenting with speech and language communication difficulties. Joint desire to work together again to make a positive impact. Positive previous experience of partnership working. Positive impact of I CAN (Early Talk) model.

What are we doing now? Phase 1 of package delivered Involvement of : Additional Support Needs Co-Ordinator Occupational Therapists Baby room staff attended training
