The register provides a quick and reliable way for employers to check and confirm an individual’s training details. YOUR DETAILS - It is OPITO’s aim to update training records as soon as received from the training provider, this service is vital to the industry, Operating Companies and the individual. Therefore the accuracy of the information participants provide are essential to avoid error or uncertainty about an individual when attending further training. UPON COURSE COMPLETION - the completed forms will be sent to OPITO so that the information can be uploaded onto Vantage, this will normally be done within 7 days. TRACKABLE - Training records are trackable on Vantage Central Register and Vantage POB which is used by the Operating Companies for tracking personnel working in the oil & gas industry. Accurate training records are vital to the Operating Companies to ensure that only personnel who have the appropriate qualifications are mobilised. It is a condition of approval that centres forward information to the central register on a weekly basis. WEB ACCESS - Employers who adopt OPITO standards are given web access to the register to enable verification of training records for employees entering their operating environment.
