presentation of current educational systems and teaching practices in the UK and Poland, the baseline assessment of the social, family and school situation in both partner regions, identifying the definition of a vulnerable family, presentation of Polish educational system ( visits to educational institutions in Radom), a meeting with the mayor of Radom:an overview of key issues for both regions on educational policy

The first meeting was attended by 13 mothers and 24 children, aged from 7 months to 13 years old. The vulnerable families were chosen by a parental care guardian. The women exchanged their experience, talked about their every day problems, as well as about the most important matters which needed to be dealt with. At the same time, children had Art classes with one of the teachers.

I ndividual and group meeting with a psychologist. Participants could benefit from professional practical advice and, in effect, develop new skills and learn techniques to build appropriate relationships with children.

The main goal of this meeting was to develop a skill of effective job search. Self-presentation and good appearance were considered as very important aspects when searching for a new job. After the self-presentation workshops with a make-up artist, mothers talked about their experience connected with seeking employment.

During this meeting parents with teachers analysed the influence of social problems on child’s development, education and functioning in the family. They discussed also the role of a father, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of living in a multi-generational family.

1.The selection of primary schools in Radom, where ‘School for Parents’ could be implemented. 2.Developing a questionnaire for educators, which included family selection criteria to participate in the program. 3.Preparing a multimedia presentation for school leaders from chosen schools. 4.Organising special information meeting for educators in RODoN.
