CF Coaching Packages **NEW** Coaching Packages *NEW* In response to feedback from CF staff, CFNA has created 2 coaching packages – Level 1 and Level 2. Both programs are certificate programs and suitable for ALL CF staff positions and delivered by Adobe webcasts. Level 1 covers a broad category of coaching scenarios, including: Business planning, start- up, purchasing a business, business expansion, purchasing a franchise and succession planning Level 2 cover the details of financial coaching scenarios, including: Bookkeeping, start-up financials, expansion financials, breakeven analysis, cash flow forecasting, financial statements and financing. Coaching Business Skills Level 1 **EXPANDED PROGRAM** This practical 8 week, interactive program includes a series of Adobe webcasts to provide participants with effective coaching strategies for working with clients on an array of topics. This Level 1 package includes: Strategies for Coaching Small Business And coaching for: Business Plan Development Business Start Up Purchasing an Existing Business Business Expansion Purchasing a Franchise (NEW) Succession Planning (NEW) Course Dates: Jan 20/14 to Mar 14/14 CF - $600 Non CF - $700 If you have completed the previous coaching program, you can add Franchise and Succession Planning for $100 to complete Level 1. Rural Diversification This practical 9 week, interactive on-line course (delivered via Adobe webcasts) provides participants with tools & strategies to assist their communities in the move to a diversified balanced economy, by expanding the economic base with a variety of business types & jobs. Participants will learn strategies to build upon a community’s comparative advantages & define diversification opportunities. Through the course, participants will develop a rural diversification project. Course Dates: Jan 20/14 to Mar 21/14 CF-$550 + text($35) Non CF-$650 + text($35) Business Cluster Development This practical 9 week, interactive on-line course (delivered via Adobe webcasts) provides participants with tools and strategies to assist their communities in the move to a long-term sustainable future. Business cluster development involves the growth of competitive businesses that bring wealth to their communities; a strategy that aligns with the move to diversify and broaden an economic base, while creating a balanced and stable economy. Participants will learn how to build upon a comparative advantages and define business clusters that have the potential to grow and create more jobs and generate more wealth. Through this course, participants will develop a business cluster development project. Course Dates: Jan 20/14 to Mar 21/14 CF-$550 + text ($100) Non-CF-$650 + text ($100) Project Management This practical 9 week, interactive on-line course (delivered via Adobe webcasts) provides participants with the foundational skills to manage projects. In the CF context, a loan client, a relationship with a regional committee and a CED project are examples of projects. Participants will learn effective and efficient project management strategies through this course that apply to all CF staff positions. Course Dates: Jan 20/14 to Mar 21/14 CF-$550 Non CF-$650

Community Futures staff members in the four core positions are often required to delivery training and/or coaching needs for communities, which could entail assisting a local group in seeking funding or facilitating a strategic planning session. This Workshop is designed to allow each participant to explore their own strengths & weaknesses as a community coach while optimizing performance. It also teaches participants the skills required to work with community groups for results. The course walks participants through the uniqueness and process of being a developmental lender.
