Boston Facts Boston is in the state of Massachusetts. Boston was founded in 1630 by Puritan colonist from England. Boston ranks 10 th – largest city in the U.S with a population of approximately 5 million people.

Boston is famous for… Boston is famous for the major league baseball team the Boston Red Sox. Boston is famous for the Boston Bombing that happened on April 15, 2013 during the Boston Marathon. Boston is also known for the best medical research hospitals.

Tragedies in Boston On March 5, 1770 a group of colonists were fired at by a group of redcoats and a few were killed. On April 15, 2013 the Boston marathon was bombing, killing 3 and injuring 264 people.
