The Metro is the quickest way around a city because it helps to avoid (избежать) traffic jams. Plan your journey before travelling. If not taken seriously, the Metro can be a strange and confusing world, if it's your first time on it. Here are some tips how to use it. First of all you should locate a metro station. They will normally have a sign saying "Metro" on them.

Look at a metro map. Find a place where you want to go, and try to locate the best stop on the map. Check what line it is on, and remember the colour of the line it is on. Buy a ticket either from a ticket machine or a ticket office. Make sure you have chosen the correct train and correct platform. Wait on the platform at a safe distance from the tracks. When the train arrives, wait for the door to open and the passengers to get off first before you get on.

While traveling on the train try not To miss your stop. Get off the train when your stop comes, and look for the appropriate exit. There will be maps of the area nearby with the location of the exits nearby. If you are lost ask one of the station staff where to go. Don’t lose your ticket up to the end of your journey

If you find out that you are going the wrong way, get out at the first stop, wait for the train going on the opposite direction, get in and start again. Be polite with other people and don’t throw your rubbish. Hope you’ll need these pieces of advice when travelling to other countries and you will have a pleasant underground journey.

 Don’t you think that we need the underground in Angarsk? Would you like it to be?
