Just imagine, if all ICs could have the same website address………..

The first piece of good news – YES, they can! But what would be the advantages?

A new IC portal site would give the following advantages… OOOONE website address for all ICs EEEEasy access to all IC websites SSSSeamless communication between ICs and the IC council IIIIC Council & event details available to all members MMMMembers area for sharing photos / videos and making contact with each other SSSSponsors’ increased visibility A new world wide IC brand But how will it look?...

For the public it would look like this One click access to each IC Website Sponsors receive increased visibility IC News & Events visible to all

For the public it would look like this One click access to each IC WebsiteSponsors receive increased visibilityIC News & Events visible to all

Members Area

Each member has their own password Members can upload photos and videos Find one of your IC friends and contact them through the site View & add items to the members noticeboard Members can create and view blogsFor members it would look like this:

For Council Administrators there are some extra functions: Editing Pages Adding events to the calendar Managing lists of members Sending s to members all over the world Managing the annual IC Council template

 38 IC countries  15 already have their own site  3 of which are based on the current IC council website  The others have a single static webpage

ICs with a website?  With the new IC portal, ICs can retain their existing sites.  Our consultant will liaise with an IT contact nominated by you  A simple “page redirect” would be implemented on each site, remotely, so that it was only accessible by going through the main Council portal  Admin area set up within the portal for communicating with IC council  The IC Council would have opportunity to give world-wide info to all who want to visit the local IC site

ICs without a website?  Option 1  One page information (as per current site)  Editable by local IC  Admin area for communicating with IC council and members

Create a website using a template  Pages defined by local IC  Each page editable by local IC  Admin area for communicating with IC council and Members  Choice of three designs will be available

It could look like this:

Or this:

Once a template is chosen an IC can create their own site by: Adding their own information Selecting the pages they would like Adding content Text text text text text LOCAL SPONSORS

Text text text text text Each template links to the other ICs and back to the IC Council Portal

For the IC administrator there are some extra functions: s to members or communicate with the IC council Add events through diary Manage Lists Edit the site and submit the annual IC Council template Full training will be given on how to manage your site

 Total cost $12000 USD The second piece of good news:  The Council will pay the total cost  It has already been included in the Council budget

 All sites to be converted remotely, by Council consultant – or redesigned if required  All countries to change letters, s (add message) and stationery to show only the new web address  ICs to collect members’ addresses for inclusion on each of their sites (these will be collected for the Council site) - data protection allowing? Live Jan 2011

 One website address for all IC’s  Easy access to all IC websites  Seamless communication between ICs and the IC council  IC event details available to every user/member  Members’ area for sharing still images, or videos and making contact (the raison d’etre for the IC)  Sponsors’ increased visibility  A new world wide IC brand  Brings members of the IC closer together
