Filing Modes DATAIR supports the following methods for signing and transmitting 5500 series returns. You may choose any method on a filing-by-filing basis. NOTE: To replay a page, press your PgUP key.  e-Signature  web-integrated – TPA transmits  web-integrated – Signer transmits  locally signed and transmitted  IFILE

1. e-Signature – TPA signs and transmits TPA completes 5500 forms, schedules, and SAR in Pension Reporter and links to required attachments. Step 1 TPA mails copy of filing to Sponsor with Authorization form. Step 2 Sponsor signs forms in ink and sends them back to TPA. Step 3 TPA links in scanned signature pages and transmits filing to DOL. Step 4

2. Web Integrated – TPA Transmits TPA completes 5500 forms, schedules, and SAR in Pension Reporter and links to required attachments. Step 1 Signature comes back to Pension Reporter so TPA can transmit filing to DOL. Step 3 …and publishes the filing to MY5500.com. Sponsor clicks link to review and electronically sign filing on MY5500.com. MY5500.com Step 2 Pension Reporter sends an to the Sponsor…

3. Web Integrated – Signer transmits TPA completes 5500 series forms and SAR in Pension Reporter and links to required attachments. Step 1 Pension Reporter sends an to the Sponsor… …and publishes the filing to MY5500.com. Sponsor clicks link to review and electronically sign filing on MY5500.com and then clicks to submit filing to DOL. MY5500.com Step 2

4. Locally Signed and Transmitted Sponsor reviews and electronically signs the filing on TPA’s computer, and then TPA submits filing to DOL from Pension Reporter. Step 3 TPA meets with Sponsor. Step 2 TPA completes 5500 series forms and SAR in Pension Reporter and links to required attachments. Step 1

5. IFILE Export/Import TPA submits signed filing on IFILE site. Step 4 Sponsor clicks link from DOL to review and electronically sign filing on IFILE site. Step 3 TPA imports XML file into DOL’s IFILE site. MY5500.com Step 2 TPA completes 5500 series forms and SAR in Pension Reporter and links to required attachments. TPA saves filing in XML format. Step 1
