Illnesses Lung Cancer Asthma A cancer that destroys lung tissue Most common type of caner in women and men Treatment=surgery, chemotherapy & radiation therapy May be prevented by not smoking Airways contract and fill with large amounts of mucus Caused by pollen, smoke, dust, cold air stress or hard exercise Treated with drugs that widen the airway and reduce mucus reduction May be prevented by avoiding these triggers
