Norman Bethune gave up his career in Canada and fought against the German Nazis and Japanese invaders during World War II. He worked in China as a doctor and saved many Chinese soldiers.

He founded the first Republic in China in1911 after many years’ fighting. He strongly believed in the three principles: nationalism( 民族 ) ； people’s rights; people’s livelihood( 民生 ).

He give up a rich life for his ideas and fought for his country to be free from the UK in a peaceful way.

The man was the first man to walk on the moon. He was a pilot in the American Air Force and later joined the astronaut program. He was chosen to be the first man to walk on the moon.

In October, China launched its second manned spaceship, Shenzhou VI. The launch made Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng, the astronauts, heroes to millions of teens. The two were given “Hero Astronauts”.
