Adding a Network Printer using Windows XP Anthony Technology Department

Go to the Start menu and click on “Run”

After you hit “OK”, a login screen will pop-up prompting you for a username and password. Login using the teacher username and password. Be sure to check “Remember My Password”. Don’t forget to check this box

This next screen contains all the printers. Find the printer you need and double-click on it. Defining a printer is simple. The printers are named as follows: CAMPUS-ROOM-MODEL For example, this printer is AES-LIBRARY In other words, AES means it’s located at Anthony Elementary School, LIBRARY means it’s in the library and 1300 means it’s a HP Laserjet Defining a printer is simple. Once you’ve double-clicked on a printer, a box comes up asking if you would like to continue, click “Yes”. Another box will open showing that it’s connecting to the printer. It may take a few minutes to connect. Once it’s connected, you will see the printer queue / status screen appear.

You have successfully added a network printer. You can now choose this printer whenever you want to print a document.
