PERSUASIVE WRITING

The F in Feds IQ stands for FACTS What is a Fact? Well it is something that is true. Examples- A watch tells time. We all live in Connecticut.

The E in Feds IQ stands for EXAMPLES What is an example? An example is something that refers to a specific kind. If you are talking about sodas- Coke, Sprite, and Root Beer are all examples of soda.

The D in Feds IQ stands for details or descriptions. Details are….. Any important information about a product or what you are trying to prove.

The S in Feds IQ stands for STATS. Stats are information that includes numbers that prove data. Examples: 3 out of 5 students prefer to wear blue. 70% of Connecticut residents pay high taxes.

The I in Feds IQ stands for INCIDENT or INFO. An incident is an EXPERIENCE that happened to you or someone else. Example: One time when I was in camp, I broke my arm on the swings.

The Q in Feds IQ stands for QUOTES. Quotes are information people are actually talking about. They have to be from a credible source or relevant to the topic. Example: Dr. Katz stated, Soda machines should be in our school cafeteria.
