CASTING THE VISION

1.Event Ministries Concerts, Festivals, Community Service Events (Law & Justice Conference) 2. Organized Ministries P.U.R.E, Couples, R.U.S.H, etc 3. Ministry Programs God Cares MINISTRY APPROACH

God Cares Metropolitan Church Tackling Urban Issues

The God Cares Thrift Centers are a driving force behind The Urban Initiative. It serves dual roles. First, it’s a model for doing business inside the urban community and a template for economic progressiveness. The God Cares model is unique, since all revenues generated from the Thrift Center are recycled back into the community it serves. The Thrift Center also serves as a resource for participants offering inexpensive quality clothing. For example, at the completion of the job training battery, participants are issued a voucher to be used toward the purchase of clothing suitable for job interviews. Some graduates may even attain employment at the Thrift Center. BLUE PRINT

BLUE PRINT cont. The God Cares blueprint is a comprehensive approach to fostering growth in urban communities. It is designed to equip individuals socially, economically, and spiritually. Having done this work for a number of years, we’ve found that participant’s success depends greatly upon financial sustainability. Therefore, we work aggressively to prepare our participants to be competitive in the workforce. We accomplish this through career skills training, in which participants learn how to complete job applications, write resumes, conduct effective job interviews, negotiate and accept job offers, and achieve long term success in theirs careers.

Equipping From Every Angle A State of the Economy and Employment Survey from Adecco Staffing indicated that 44% of employers cited soft skills, such as communication, critical thinking, creativity and collaboration, as the areas with the largest gap in workforce skills. We place a heavy emphasis on these skills throughout our training. In addition, our life skill workshops teach a variety of key life skill components
