Q1QP Introduction Over the course of the first quarter, we have explored the literature, history, and art of colonial and revolutionary America. Now it is time for you to synthesize what you have learned by developing a specific, interesting, and arguable thesis by analyzing primary sources in a 4- to 5-page paper. Please choose ONE of the prompts below to respond to.

THREE PROMPTS 1. Identify a conflict that occurred in early America—whether between settler and native, between colonist and crown, between the races, the religions or the sexes—and develop a thesis about the root cause of that conflict. 2. How did different interpretations of a single concept or value impact early America? (e.g. spirituality, civilization, authority, etc). 3. What characteristics of early American communities laid the foundation for the American Revolution?
