Presentation transcript:

You will need a red readers handbook from the bookshelf by your desk! To practice using the book, you need to write down the answers to these 5 questions. What are the first and last entries in the “skills index”? Under which tab in the handbook would you find the short story lesson? Where would you look for the definition of “personification?” Where would you look when you are about to take a social studies test? Where would you look to find out what the words on the top of a dictionary page are called? Do you have your folder for this class? We need them please 

You Need a Red Readers Handbook Please write down the answers on a piece of paper, this can be the same paper from Friday. You have about 15 mins to complete this. If you finish early read your own book or wait patiently  Please read pages 24-27. What are the 3 things that reading can provide for you? What are the 6 reasons that you might read? What does it mean to visualize while you read?
