Welcome to Program Learning Outcome 5

The purpose of this presentation is to show the role of an instructor in e-learning and what they as educators can do to assist learners in order to complete the program.

The future of e-learning can make important strategic decisions about current educational or business organization. The field of training doesn’t change quickly even though technological advancement occurs at rapid speed and new learning concept emerges from perceptive research

Although larger organization move slower, it’s up to 1. experience employees 2. trainers and instructors 3. educators and administrators to move toward a more progressive path that meets the needs of today’s learners (Reiser and Dempsey 2012).

When we accept how much learning occurs through connected communities, it opens the opportunity to change traditional approaches to eLearning.

In order to assist learners the educator plays a crucial role in e-learning. 1. Be aware and involved in student experiences 2. Be suggest ways to address experiences 3. Offer simple assessment on computer skills needed 4. Offer links to student resources, provide clear schedules 5. Provide for discussion, chat times, instant messaging etc.

Some of the other roles that an instructor needs to carry out are: 1.Establish rapport with students 2.Make them feel comfortable with the online experience 3.Encourage them to participate

The channels of communication between the instructors and students must be open and constant. It should be driven by regular s, active involvement in discussions and chats. E leaning is convenient and flexible.

It is the responsibility of the instructor to create and maintain the online environment, levels of respect, concern for learning, etc..
