Presentation transcript:

Plastic Water Bottles Most of these bottles end up in landfills and incinerators. Some end up in our parks, neighborhood and oceans as debris. We need to know what to do with these bottles besides just throwing them in the trash. In America alone over 60 million plastic water bottles are thrown away every day.

Recycle? There has not been a lot of attention given to recycling plastic bottles. There is actually a need for used plastic bottles in the recycling world. This will actually help with petroleum consumption which is a nonrenewable. resource. According to some scientists the burning of petroleum is contributing to global warming.

Alternatives Stainless Steel water bottles are great. They do not leach any chemicals and they are portable. Also BPA free water bottles are a good alternative because they do not leach this dangerous chemical that can cause cancer. This water pitcher filters your tap water and you can use either the stainless steel bottle or the BPA free plastic water bottles.

Alternatives. If you want to go high tech, you can get an under the counter water filter. An attachable water filter is another inexpensive way to go.

Apply So now you have options…. RECYCLE your plastic bottles! Use stainless steel or BPA free plastic water reusable bottles! Use a water filter pitcher or install a water filtration system to your faucet! Any of the above options will help eliminate all the plastic trash in the landfills.
