Sierra Leone Revolutionary United Front (RUF) vs. gov’t of President Ahmad Tejan Kabdah Foday Sankoh= former army corporal and leader of RUF, started rebellion Charles Taylor

El Salvador El Salvador was destroyed by a civil war. It was encouraged by the inequality between the poor and the rich. Past President Alfredo Cristiani

History of Sierra Leone: Independence 1961, resulted in unstable gov’t (in & out military dictatorships)  easy for RUF to cause destruction to Pres. Kabdah’s gov’t
