Passport to Reading / Passport to Reading is the name of our school-wide, differentiated reading program. / This program features 30-minute time blocks for each grade level (grades K-5) four days a week. Passport to Reading / All students in grades K-5 are screened with DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills, University of Oregon) to assess reading progress at least 3 times per academic year. / There are specific academic targets or benchmarks for rate and accuracy at each grade level. / Kindergarten & first grade students are also assessed on phonological awareness skills. / All students in grades K-5 are screened with DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills, University of Oregon) to assess reading progress at least 3 times per academic year. / There are specific academic targets or benchmarks for rate and accuracy at each grade level. / Kindergarten & first grade students are also assessed on phonological awareness skills.

Data Collection / Each student has a folder with his/her data charted. Data Collection continued / DIBELS testing includes: Letter Naming Fluency, Initial Sound Fluency, Phonemic Segmentation, Nonsense Word Fluency (grades K-1), and Oral Reading Fluency (grades 2-5).
