South Shore Astronomical Society

50 Years of Continuous Service

In November of 1958 a group of Amateur Astronomers came together to form the South Shore Astronomical Society. The founding members had a desire to share their interest in Astronomy with like minded individuals. As well as share this interest and knowledge with the public.

CHARTER MEMBERS of the SOCIETY

Over its history the South Shore Astronomical Society has held its meetings at several locations. Wilder Memorial Hall, Hingham South Shore Natural Science Center, Norwell Council on Aging, Norwell

Over our 50 years members have participated in many different activities. Please join us in a visual journey through the years.
