Presentation Created on February 29th 1999, ISOC Sénégal has set goals :  To undertake activities in line to create an enabling environment, democratization of access and generally to promote the Internet in Senegal ;  To encourage participation in the work of ISOC Senegal;;  to encourage and promote senegalese participation in the work of ISOC and all types of cooperative projects;  to promote appropriate treatment of national languages ​​ on the Internet, to encourage the circulation of local content and foster cooperation with other African ISOC chapters;  to make known the views of the senegalese chapter and ISOC to all persons or entities interested by Internet ;  To attend meetings, events, conferences, working groups or commissions, using or not the Internet 2

Technology - Policy – Business : ISOC SN NG will build on these three areas that form the heart of the information society to allow a good knowledge and mastery of the Internet. Awareness and training: o organization of day (or ½ day) awareness : It’s opportunities to present internet Technologies or demystify concepts such as routing protocols, DNS, Web 2.0, etc.. o establishment of cell ISOC at universities, institutes and other professional schools Contribution to the development of the Internet : o Ensure the presence of ISOC Senegal in the events around the Internet, computer and digital technology. o Present the issues and challenges at national and international contributions through the ISOC community as an institution of international repute and major player in the world of internet. o Participate in discussions around the Internet and ICT and to facilitate their dissemination and expansion in Senegal. 3 ISOC Senegal Next Generation (ISOC SN NG )
