Who is Food for the Hungry? Food for the Hungry (FH) is a faith-based international relief and development organization that embraces a personal and biblical response to meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the poor around the world. Mission Food for the Hungry (FH) walks with churches, leaders and families in overcoming all forms of human poverty by living in healthy relationship with God and His creation. Vision God called and we responded until physical and spiritual hungers ended worldwide.

What does Food for the Hungry do? Sponsor a Child Food for the Hungry works in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. We operate child-focused community transformation programs in 16 countries. Our staff walks with churches, leaders and families to overcome poverty. As a result, communities are strengthened and equipped to care for their children as God intended. Programs: Health and nutrition, food and agriculture, water and sanitation, livelihoods (economic development), church development, education and disaster risk reduction

Sponsor a Child What is Child Sponsorship? Food for the Hungry is committed to investing in the next generation. Every child is made in the image of God with a unique purpose and value. Through our child sponsorship program, FH equips parents, churches and leaders in their God-given roles to nurture and provide for the children in all aspects of their lives – physical, spiritual, social and intellectual. How does Child Sponsorship work? Child sponsors donate a monthly gift that goes toward the work in their child’s community. FH field staff works in the community on a daily basis to implement programs that help the child and his or her community break free from the cycle of poverty. Each sponsorship enables Food for the Hungry staff to build a relationship with the child and his or her family and to share God’s love with them. Sponsors can personally connect with their child through prayer and by sharing letters and photos.
