Freeborn County Partners In Prevention (FC-PIP) (under Freeborn County Family Services Collaborative ) Community Coalition made up of 40+ community members from multiple sectors Mission: Prevent and reduce Freeborn County youth use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs Community Issue Funded by federal grant until Sept 2013, with potential 5 more years

Kids who use… Lower grades Increased use of violence Increased risk of sexual assault Increased risk of teen pregnancy Other consequences…..

Had at least one drink of alcohol on at least 1 day during the 30 days before the survey. **p<.0001 after controlling for sex, race/ethnicity, and grade level.
