FACEBOOK- The world’s leading social networking site.

At the very beginning…  Meet Mark Zuckerberg the creator of Facebook. The really amazing thing about him is that he created Facebook when he was just around 20 years old! Now Facebook is one of the most commonly used social networking site. Facebook was launched on February 4, 2004, originally called “TheFacebook”.

At the very beginning… continued  Just a few days after the website was launched 3 Harvard students accused him of stealing their idea about their social networking site called Harvard connection later called ConnectU.

ConnectU…  Mark originally worked with Cameron Winklevoss, Tyler Winklevoss, and Divya Narendra to make a website called ConnectU but later broke away. ConnectU tried to sue Facebook founder Mark for stealing there idea. They later went to court about the situation.

ConnectU…continued  Both website we created when the students we still undergraduates at Harvard. In the end Facebook finally won even though they had to pay off ConnectU with both stock and cash. Now ConnectU is shut down. V.S.

Facebook stats  Facebook is growing really fast. The site first grew for university students then to high school students. Facebook has around 600 million users! The site is also getting hundreds of new users every day. In September 2006 the estimated amount of Facebook users in the UK was 200,000 in March 2007 it has skyrocketed to over 1.3 million users, now it has even more.

Facebook itself  Many people ask what do you do on Facebook. Well looking it at many different points of view there are different reasons. Some people simply go on to get the latest news. Others are game addict that only play games. Some of them are photo freaks that just post a bunch of photos of themselves. The last but not least… pokers who devote their entire time to poking people on Facebook.

Facebook games  When Facebook started there were no games it was simply a social networking site. Now Facebook has thousands of games ranging from simple games like Mousehunt where all you do is click a button to games like Farmville (which I personally dislike) where you have to water our plants and take care of our animals. Facebook is now one of the biggest game website as well.

Security… Privacy  Now you see Facebook is one of the best social networking site, one of the best gaming site what is something it’s not best at? The answer, security. Even though Facebook does have security measures such as passwords and such that’s not what we are talking about here. What we are talking about is privacy.

Finally  So now you see the goodness's and bad parts of Facebook. Facebook can be good if you use it correctly and watch what you do. But if you do something wrong the outcomes many not be pleasant.
