HW 5/27/14 I Follow along as I read the essay “I Hated Tonto (Still DO) aloud – 9 th graders – please note that there was a missing page to the article. The entire article has been attached here. I will go over this in class as well. 2 nd close read: annotate – look up things you don’t know, like names of movies, actors, etc. This will help in your understanding of the perspective of the writer – Sherman Alexie – and his TONE in the essay.
