Automatic Admission and Top 10% Students who hope to gain automatic admission to the state’s public universities under the top 10 percent rule also must meet requirements that include earning credit for Algebra II or meeting performance requirements on a college readiness assessment. – Per Texas Education Agency Website 2/10/14

HB 5 Performance Acknowledgments 12 hours of dual credit with a 3.0 or higher Associates Degree earned 3 or higher earned on an Advanced Placement Test Commended on the Pre SAT test 1250 earned on SAT Math & Reading Combined 28 earned on the ACT Spanish III + 4 ELA Credits with a 80 or higher average

Lets take a break for some FAQ. Who is on the new plan and who is on the old plan? Can I switch graduation plans? Are endorsements like selecting a major? Will every endorsement be offered? Can my kiddos get multiple endorsements? If I am a All Around student, does that mean that I cannot take Ag?

More FAQ? STEM Newton: Math Emphasis will require a student to be enrolled in Algebra I in the 8 th grade. Safeguard: Social studies class taken in the 9 th grade. Can I switch endorsements at anytime? What other math classes are available if my child is not interested in Algebra II? ?????
