Participant Requirements While these are online courses, each student will belong to a class, or cohort. This means that you complete assignments with the class, have open discussions, interact with the instructor, and even have office hours with the instructor. The classes are done in an asynchronous format which means students do not have to be on the computer at a specific time. There is LOTS of reading and LOTS of homework. An average class takes 6-10 hours to complete. You can expect that the instructor will RETURN your homework and ask you to redo parts of it. The class takes place over a specific time period (two weeks) and you must complete your homework during that time. It's also mandatory that you participate in the group discussions and fill out a profile on yourself so you can interact with your fellow students.
