CM-500 MOUSE By Salleh Jahaf
Ideations Here are my 17 ideation drawings. The design that I was most interested in were the mice with the slender tails.
Basic research These are drawings I drew of a basic dell computer mouse. The shape of the mouse is simple and the mouse executes basic functions.
Research These are drawings of the more advanced g5 laser mouse I researched on the internet along with the real photos. The mouse was designed with ergonomics in mind.
Research These are drawings of the logitech mx revolution mouse. This mouse gave me the idea of adding the left thumb rest to my mouse.
Developed ideation-form The form of my mouse was based on the ergonomics of the hand. There is a thumb rest on the left side of the mouse. On the right side, there are grooves for the index and pinky fingers.
Developed ideation-function The mouse has the traditional left click and right click buttons along with a scroll wheel. There are also pre- programmable up/down buttons where the thumb rests. PRE-PROGRAMMABLE
Process of 3d modeling I am creating the structure of the mouse on rhino. In the second picture, I created a surface and the rest of the body. The skeleton is made up of semi-circles.
Final design-wireframe display This is my final design in wireframe display.
Details Here is a close-up of the up and down buttons. This picture shows how the arrows are elevated so you can feel which button you are pushing.
details I decided to add a label to the mouse on the front. The label is polished metal with a gold finish.
Final renderings This is how my mouse turned out. It’s not an exact replica of the mouse I drew, but close enough.
