All are Living Organisms! The diversity of life on Earth is incredible. As different as living things can be, however, they all have some things in common. What do you think the characteristics of life are? –Think about the earthworm and mealworm you observed, think about yourself, and think about the pictures you just studied. What characteristics do they share-what makes them alive?

RallyRobin Work with FACE partner. Begin with Partner B. Share one thing that you think all living things share in common. Switch to Partner A and he or she shares one characteristic. Continue until all ideas are shared.

Check for Understanding Name 2 characteristics of life that were present in Sparky and how they were present. Which characteristic of life was missing in Sparky?
