HISTORY OF DOLL a doll = nukke in Finnish

The oldest Finnish dolls are from the 1700's. The first dolls were probably ritual objects.

The first dolls were made of wooden blocks. Dolls was used to as the material of all the parts of the deal.

The Finnish word ”nukke” meant originally pieces of fabric which was stuffed with moss…

Old-fashioned dolls were made of cloths… but also today dolls can to be made like that…

In the 1900´s they were replaced by plastic century dolls were made of porcelain, and still later in 1800 by the porcelain was joined by gutta-percha and rubber.

First dolls were fashion dolls. Then came the child dolls

The Barbies appeared 50 years ago.
