Klaipeda country
It was an ancient trade route used to transport amber from Baltic See to Italy. The raw was taken from the see in Poland, Lithuania and another European countries. The road lead throught the Klaipeda’s country seeside, Polish and other Slovenian lands. Trade was changing during ages and traders were going to many ancient cities (for example: to Krakow).
Jonas Karolis Chodkevicius came from Kretynga on Lithuania, and died during the Chocim battle with Turkey in He was Polish and Lithuanian military commander called Great Hetman and one of the best european army strategists in XVIIth century.
The November Uprising was in and was the rebel against Russian Empire. Some battles took place in Palanga on Lithuania. Unfortunately, like all uprising they were defeat.

Their property is scatterred in Europe but most of their goods are in Poland, Lithuania and Belarus. Now in Tyszkiewicz Palace in Palenga, there is the museum of amber. Palace was build in XIXth century and the first owner was Feliks Tyszkiewicz.
