 Several weeks ago I asked Principals and Lead teachers to submit suggestions for the OIEP E- walk Comment Library  I received several requests and the first draft of the library is complete  This is what you will be downloading today. As new comments are added I will direct you to re- download as often as necessary.

 From your laptop or desktop  Log on to your media-X dashboard with your username and password

 Generate your files  You have done this before, but each time you download either the template or the comments you have to generate your files  Remember to pick your school(s)  Remember to select the OIEP Template

 Now lets look at the handheld  Make sure that it is connected and sitting in its cradle  Make sure if you have a password on the handheld it has been entered

 From the handheld- Star the E-walk software (open e-walk)  From the four choices on the menu, select Upload/Download  Next you want to make sure you have a check mark in the download students…..  And download comments from the comment library  --see next slide

X X Download Subjects (Staff, Students, etc.) Download Comments from the Comment Library Download Upload Delete all walkthroughs… Status ReturnSetup

 Now all that you have to do it tab the Upload button on your handheld  The Status bar will flicker with information  Then when the download is complete your status bar will say “DONE”

 Close out of e-walk completely  Re-open ewalk and pretend you are doing a walkthrough  Notice now (since the comment library is loaded) on the Notes section of the walkthrough “N” the comment section will now have OIEP comments.  See next slide

N When you see the N this means Notes. Tap on an N and you will see the following; Comments box Select a comment Click on the pull down arrow and you will see the comments. Select the one that works best and it will automatically populate in the comments box.

 This automatic comment library will make your walk-through(s) so much easier.  If you have additional comments that you want loaded to the comment library, just send them to me via and I will add them.  Then when I am done, I will ask you to repeat the process.  If you have questions, contact me.
