Location: Hadrian’s Villa is located in Tibur (modern day Tivoli).
Origin of the building: Hadrian’s Villa was built for Emperor Hadrian to escape to from Rome during the 2nd and 3rd decades of the 2nd A.D.
Hadrian would go to his Villa in Tibur because he did not like his palace on the Palastine Hill.
Facts about the Villa: ➔ The villa has more than 30 buildings ➔ built on 250 acres ➔ with Greek and Egyptian style architecture ➔ areas in the Villa were named after Hadiran had visited
