WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN The Class of 2025

There’s a lot of work to be done  Learning how to work cooperatively with others.  Building background knowledge to support reading comprehension.  Practicing good listening skills and listening to remember.  Learning letter names and sounds and how to write them.  Understanding how to write a story.  Learning about quantities, patterns and how to count to 100!  Appreciating the world around us and understanding how we take that world in through our senses. * Making sure your child is well rested and has had a good breakfast will help her or him be successful in school.

Children learn to attend and have fun with games like Freeze Dance.

Students practice “whole body listening” to strengthen focusing skills.

Girls and boys are encouraged to plan and take ownership of their learning.

Literacy activities start …. as they walk in the door…

Opening books, opens doors!  Provide your child with opportunities to estimate, to count and to create patterns.  Please speak to me, if you feel your child is having any difficulty. I will do my best to work with you to remedy the situation. If we can’t remedy it, I can bring other people in to help.

I don’t want to forget…  Please make sure I have your correct address..  My is  I am always happy to speak or meet with parents.  Thank you for making the time to come tonight!
